Two Worlds One: Still the Moon (2010)
Lisa and I, along with our wonderful singer, Molly Pasutti, have at long last completed our new CD and we are beyond excited about sharing our new music. This musical venture has recast my role as one as a producer on a body of music composed by Lisa Lynne with exquisite vocals and lyrics by Molly Pasutti. This music, and my role as producer and string arranger, has been quite a major departure from previous recording projects - but I cannot express how excited and proud I am and just how wonderfully the CD has turned out. Really beyond my wildest expectations.
After some thought and dialogue, we decided to name our musical ensemble "Two Worlds One" - which was originally the title of Lisa's and my first CD together. We loved the name so much and felt the music fit the title so well, we decided to use it as a band name for our growing musical collaboration and expanding partnership with Molly. The title of the CD is "Still the Moon."
Two Worlds One is about music the way it used be, the way it used to make us feel.
It's not sweet, it's bittersweet. It's a love story that isn't about boy meets girl. It's about what you do with your heart when it's been broken and loving anyway. It's about transcending your story. Its about lonely being lovelyand being not afraid of fear. It's like the 70s pop songs when we were forming our musical souls. It's like Jefferson Starship-Miracles. It's like Joni Mithcell' Both Sides Now. It's like Roberta Flack- Killing Me Softly, and Seals and Croft's Summer Breeze.
Its about the way you felt after bedtime when you held your AM radio to your head under the sheets and listened to the secrets life and love. It was the true music - the soundtrack of our lives that moved our hearts in a way that nothing had before.
That's what Two Worlds One is about.
