Harp Chronicles Volume 2 Harp Chronicles - Volume 2:
O'Carolan's Dream (1995-1996)
Enchantment awaits in this gorgeous recording of the elegant and inspirational music of Turlough O'Carolan, the celebrated 17th Century Irish harper and composer. Herein 20 of O'Carolan's finest and most beautiful compositions have been tenderly rendered with original arrangements for Celtic folk harp and light accompaniment on acoustic instruments such as violin, viola, cello, guitar and pennywhistle. From lyrical and lilting to wistful and romantic, the music is ever delightful, charming and hauntingly beautiful.
A companion to Harp Chronicles Volume 1, I gathered together from my first 3 CDs most of my music by Turlough O'Carolan, a 17th Century blind Irish harpist. Warm, sweet, elegant and lyrical with a touch of'Baroque- Renaissance' feel this makes excellent background music for dinners and deskwork. I have often been told by school teachers that the calm, yet lyrical quality of this CD makes to help students study or read by.
Please note: This CD was recorded using a 26-string Celtic harp which is slightly smaller than the one I currently use.

“I'd give my right arm to do anything, even blowing up bridges, as well as Aryeh plays O'Carolan” - Harpbeat by the Bay
